| News: Eve Myles Loves New York Posted: 12 Feb 2009 07:02 AM CST Torchwood star Eve Myles expressed her love of New Yorkers last week at the New York ComicCon, thanking them for their hospitality which certainly seemed to impress both her and fellow panel member Euros Lyn. “We’re completely overwhelmed by the support that we’ve had in New York,” she said. “It’s been extraordinary, to say the least. You’ve just been so energetic about the show, passionate and loyal, and we can’t thank you... | ||
| Posted: 12 Feb 2009 06:28 AM CST Been sitting on this for aboot a fortnight, but seeing as Tommy Knight's website has chosen to make it public - I think it's time the rest of the SJA fan community heard the squee-worthy news! Seems David Tennant won't be the only Who-star to be making an appearance on Comic Relief next month. Elisabeth Sladen, Tommy Knight, Anjli Mohindra and Daniel Anthony will be reunited next Thursday when they film a special SJA spot for the big Comic Relief broadcast on March 13th! Details regarding the plot are rather sketchy. However, SARAH-JANE.tv can exclusively reveal that the short will feature a well-known comedian and an attack by Rednosicles(!) Yeah, I know... I can see you rolling your eyes! But give it a chance, it'll be aweshum. Plus it's a good oppurtunity for the cast to get back into the SJA grove prior to filming the third series, and have a little fun with their characters while they're at it! Cannae wait! In other news, an autobiography by our very own Lis Sladen was listed on Amazon.co.uk recently! Due to be released next March and published by Aurum Press Ltd, the 320 page tome of Sladenosity claims to "tell the story of her remarkable career." The publication will come hot on the heels of SJA concluding its third, and possibly final, series - so Lis couldn't have found a more perfect time to ride the wave of the show's popularity. No doubt the release will warrant a lavish book signing; and SARAH-JANE.tv will, as ever, endeavour to attend to report back to our readers. On a minor note, actress Anjli Mohindra [Rani] has taken to answering all your burning questions on Doctor Who Online! Get in there while you can! | ||

| Posted: 11 Feb 2009 10:12 PM CST London's Hayward Gallery on the South Bank will be opening a new exhibition from the 18th February, entitled "Mark Wallinger Curates: The Russian Linesman" - a name inspired by the 1996 England vs Germany Football World Cup ruling during the match which reputedly changed the course of football history. The exhibition will explore "notions of the liminal: thresholds between physical, political or metaphysical realms". Says Wallinger: "I have always been interested in how we define and are define | ||

| Posted: 11 Feb 2009 06:58 PM CST A new art exhibition remarkably features a TARDIS in a state of dematerialisation/ rematerialisation! As if Doctor Who wasn't already ingrained in the British psyche, sticking a police box TARDIS in an art gallery is spookily reminiscent of a scene from 1979's Tom Baker adventure City of Death - down to the point of the TARDIS disappearing in an art gallery. The piece - called Time and Relative Dimensions in Space, 2001, is by Mark Wallinger, a Turner Prize-winning artist who is... | ||
