Following on from our recent highlighting of the campaign to get a straight-to-DVD recording of Hamlet for edicational purposes, the Daily Telegraph reports that recording of a reunited cast performance has been scheduled! Various DVD sites are listing the 1976 Tom Baker story The Deadly Assassin for DVD release in early May. The story, written by Robert Holmes and directed by David Maloney, was the third of Doctor Who's fourteenth season. It features Peter Pratt as the Master, as well as Angus MacKay playing Borusa and Bernard Horsfall as Chancellor Goth. The Eighth Doctor Is Back!

The Doctor has fallen to his death. Lucie has been shot. And it's a brand new beginning… The second series of The New Eighth Doctor Adventures ended on a searing cliffhanger and, after months of waiting, you can now find out what happens next as Season Three makes its debut online this weekend.

Episode one of Orbis will be available to download at 18:00 hours on Saturday April 7, and the remaining 15 episodes of the season will follow on a weekly basis on Saturday nights. CD releases will follow monthly.

A subscription to the CDs (which includes downloads) costs £60; a download-only subscription is £55.
