| Posted: 02 Apr 2009 09:29 AM PDT The first trailer for the upcoming K-9 series has been released on YouTube - and it's not pretty. The Doctor's best friend has been reduced to a hovering, wise-cracking toy. In fact I believe the term is ill-judged. Despite reservations over the design of the upgraded cyberdog and the co-production aspect, not to mention that Sarah Jane Adventures-esque titles and logo, Kasterborous has held fire on K-9 long enough to see what turns out. It's hardly the mutt's nuts. See for yourself. Kudos... | ||

| Posted: 02 Apr 2009 05:19 AM PDT A preliminary trailer for the forthcoming K9 series has been released on YouTube and can be seen below. The trailer was made to promote the series at the MIPTV festival in Cannes. Series co-creator and associate producer Paul Tams notes that "All music and titles and K9's voice are for demo purposes only and [are] not the actual voice, etc. that will be used in the programme." Tams also says that monsters designed for the series remain "under wraps". The trailer shows the first glimpses of t | ||

| Posted: 01 Apr 2009 11:41 PM PDT Meet the Lady Christina de Souza in DWM 407! In an exclusive interview with DWM, Michelle Ryan talks about playing the remarkable Lady Christina de Souza – the Doctor’s new companion in the forthcoming Easter Special, the 200th Doctor Who television adventure, Planet of the Dead… DWM asks whether there’s sexual tension between the Doctor and Christina. “Yeah,” Michelle grins, “and I think it’s a real meeting of minds. He’s bowled over by... | ||
| Posted: 01 Apr 2009 10:28 PM PDT We bow down to your infinitely superior deductive know-how if you picked up on our April Fools Day antics yesterday :) Most of you were able to figure out that our recent SJA on Blu-ray article was, in fact, fakeity-fake-fake. Despite this, SARAH-JANE.tv's visitor logs showed quite a spike in our unique hits yesterday, due in part to quite a few of you being forwarded onto the story by e-mail! If you fell for it, don't feel bad. My own nephew got me yesterday with the old 'there's something on your back!' trick *sob*. We'd like to assert that The Sarah Jane Adventures, unlike its sibling spinoff, is not filmed in high definition. Consequently, we probably won't be seeing a Blu-ray release of the show anytime soon - if ever. :( On the plus side, we have got some genuinely exciting news to report to make it up to you! You may recall us mentioning that Lis Sladen was due to appear at the Liverpool Philharmonic in a few weeks time, to present a two-hour Music From Outer Space concert. What we didn't know at the time was that SJA composer, Sam Watts, will also be in attendance! According to a recent update to his Myspace page, Sam will be at the Philharmonic organising a short concert suite of his work on The Sarah Jane Adventures! SARAH-JANE.tv sent along a quick enquiry to Dan Watts, Sam's brother and composing partner, and learnt that the SJA segment of the show wouldn't be longer than 5 minutes. He wanted to keep the content of the segment a surprise, but we assume it'll consist of a medley of the show's most recognisable compositions. It may even include SJA's most signature tune, 'Until Next Time Miss Smith' [aka. the fan-favourite from the cinema trailer]. Performing compositions live in front of an audience has, thus far, been an honour bestowed only upon Doctor Who composer, Murray Gold. Beating out sibling show Torchwood, SJA has become the first Doctor Who spinoff to get a piece of the concert-performing action. Despite the small segment, it's going to be an epic once in a lifetime gig. As such, jackharkness and I won't be missing it for the world! We've got our tickets, we hope you have yours! | ||
| News: Planet of the Dead Schedule Confirmed Posted: 01 Apr 2009 09:39 PM PDT The BBC have confirmed the broadcast data and time for Planet of the Dead - and as widely expected (but conversely to SKY Magazine's listing it is Easter Saturday!) So gird your loins, collect your figures together and place an appropriately sized pedestal or coffee table close to your favourite chair and stock up with Easter eggs, a nice glass of something wet and alcoholic (fuit based drink for the ladies) and get set for the brief, one-night-only return of Doctor Who with Planet of the... | ||
