| Posted: 31 Aug 2009 10:12 AM PDT The BBC has confirmed that Series Three of The Sarah Jane Adventures will premier in the UK during October. The exact day is unknown but sources indicate that Thursday 15th is the most likely day. The information came in promotional literature issued by CBBC on Saturday. Sarah Jane and her gang, Clyde, Luke and Rani, are back on TV this autumn for brand new escapades. They'll be battling Judoon, Slitheen and Blathereen non-stop in what's set to be endless action and adventure. And watch out for a very special guest star this series! Brand new series starts this October, only on CBBC. | ||

| Posted: 31 Aug 2009 08:06 AM PDT David Tennant and Russell T Davies have recently taken part in an interview for the Sky TV website, covering many aspects of Doctor Who since 2005 and of course a mention of the San Diego Comic Con. Let's get to the meat first of all - an explanation by David Tennant of the mood of the Doctor in 2009. Planet of the Dead was the last hurrah for the 10th Doctor. He was in mortal danger, but he was loving it. Really, from The Waters of Mars and heading into that final story, the sword of... | ||

| Posted: 31 Aug 2009 03:28 AM PDT It's now official: the third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures will break from tradition, by not airing in the latter half of September. We've come to expect the series launch on the last Monday of September for the past two years, but for 2009 - possibly to tie in with Doctor Who's Water of Mars in November - it seems that an October launch is now set in stone.
At the SJA event on Saturday, CBBC lanyards were given out to children in the audience. These had pieces of cards attached to them, which included information on various CBBC shows. The SJA segment reads: | ||
| Disney/Marvel, Word Balloon, Bernice Bonanza Posted: 31 Aug 2009 02:40 AM PDT I was as surprised as anyone else to hear about the sale of Marvel to Disney today, but I must say, I think it'll be a good thing. It gives Marvel Comics the same financial security as DC has, the latter being part of TimeWarner, while previously Marvel had to survive purely on the strength of its comics (and, admittedly, starting with Iron Man, its in-house movies). That's why, in the past, a | ||

| The Cornells' Scottish Holiday Posted: 31 Aug 2009 01:58 AM PDT Good afternoon from the shores of Loch Oich, where we reside in only slightly faded splendour, at the kind of hotel which feels like a boarding school, with stuffed animals, after dinner coffee in the library, and a big oaken door with a brass plaque on it inscribed 'internet'. And hey, wifi too. I may have the smoked mackerel this evening. As those who read the Twitter feed know, I've been | ||

| Posted: 30 Aug 2009 11:38 PM PDT Right now the CBBC Channel is in the middle of re-running the entire first series of The Sarah Jane Adventures. They're up to the rather magnificent Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane, to be exact. The event supposedly runs until 4 o'clock this afternoon (though if The Lost Boy ends like expected at 3pm, what will they show during the last hour*?!) - so if it's been a while since you last viewed these episodes, or want a refresher, or if you think they're just plain fab, get watching them now! That's the CBBC Channel - running until 4pm. + *According to reader MacMachavelli, they're simply repeating Invasion of the Bane again from 2:55pm. D'oh! They could have rounded off Maria's era by showing The Last Sontaran! *** Ahead of Nabu's report about Saturday's trip to the SJA event (at Manchester's Trafford Centre) here's another little tease. Yesterday I gave you one word, and just one word. The word in question? Orange. But what does it mean...? Well, here's your answer! MEET... THE BLATHEREEN! + Yep, that's right. As exclusively revealed at the Trafford Centre, the Blathereen (who - SPOILER! - appear in the third series finale, The Gift) are a fab orange! + Trust me, they completely suit the colour, too. + Come Christmas, you'll be saying orange is most definitely the new green... | ||

| Posted: 30 Aug 2009 09:10 PM PDT Congratulations to young North East lad Liam Cook who won a local prize to meet Daleks and Cybermen first hand at Sunderlands Dalton Park shopping venue. Eight year old Liam's a little bit crazed by Doctor Who it seems - he adores David Tennant, even has a kilt and dragged his family to Scotland for a holiday! His mum is Paula: "He watches the show on repeats and has all the figurines and Cybermen masks. His dad had to paint his bedroom doors like the tardis for him. He has even... | ||
