"Voyage of the Damned" has received both positive and negative reviews in the British press. The Daily Mirror (published before the special aired) calls it "a corker", with "plenty of the Doctor's joky humour, some nice Christmas gags and even a touching romance." However, the reviewer at The Herald (Glasgow) complains that Kylie Minogue looked "matronly". Sam Wollaston of The Guardian feels that Kylie "may be Kylie, but she's no Freema or Billie."...

Our friends at Digital Spy as well as inthenews.co.uk and All Headline News are all quoting an article posted in The Sun saying that Dannii Minogue, sister of one-off Doctor Who companion Kylie Minogue will be appearing in Torchwood sometime in the future. John Barroman is quoted as saying, "I'd love it if Dannii appeared in Torchwood. She has an edge and I know she's a fan of the show."

The Time Meddler

The Doctor, Vicki and a surprise stowaway arrive on an English coastline in the year 1066. Whilst investigating a ruined monastery, The Doctor encounters an electric toaster, a gramaphone playing ecclesiastic chants and a mysterious Monk.

The Monk is conspiring to wipe out the Viking fleet and thus allow King Harold to face the forces of William of Normandy with a full strength army at the Battle of Hastings.

Can The Doctor succeed in thwarting the Monk's plans or will English history be re-written?

- Commentary - with Peter Purves, Verity Lambert, Donald Tosh & Barry Newbury.
