News: Russell T wants Catherine Z Posted: 09 Sep 2008 10:22 AM CDT Unlikely as it may seem, Russell T Davies wants Welsh beauty and vocal Help the Aged supporter Catherine Zeta Jones to appear in a Doctor Who movie, should it ever occur. You may recall that back in late August, both Jane Tranter and Steven Moffat commented on the suggested movie, with Grand Moff noting that any big screen development should be produced without disruption to the series. The actress - who will stop at nothing to get what she wants (allegedly) - is now a Hollywood star, but...
Posted: 09 Sep 2008 10:10 AM CDT Hooray for the BBC Press Office who've today added a new article that covers the whole of the second season of The Sarah Jane Adventures! There's a complete rundown of the airdates for all twelve episodes (episode one, btw, kicks off Monday September 29th) as well as a description of new girl Rani Chandra (played by the lovely Anjli Mohindra) and her parents Gita and Haresh. Did you know, for example, that Haresh is the new Head Teacher of Park Vale High School? Noooooo? Well... now you do! There's also four synopsis covering the show's opening two adventures - look away now if you're of the spoilerphobe variety! The Last Sontaran By Phil Ford, Directed By Joss Agnew Part One - Reports of strange lights around the Tycho Radio Telescope lead Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde and Maria into a terrifying forest encounter – and Sarah Jane comes face to face with her oldest enemy. Meanwhile Maria wrestles with a huge decision when her dad is offered a new job in America. Part Two - Sarah Jane and the gang have only 40 minutes to save Earth as Sontaran Commander Kaagh plots to bring the world's orbiting satellites crashing down on nuclear installations across the world. And Maria's Mum finally gets to the truth from Alan – but will they be in time to save Maria? The Day Of The Clown By Phil Ford, Directed By Michael Kerrigan Part One - New girl in Bannerman Road, Rani Chandra, is being haunted by a sinister clown – does it have anything to do with the local children that have gone missing? When Clyde's friend disappears the trail leads them to a strange circus museum – and the legend of the Pied Piper! Part Two - Sarah Jane's investigation into Spellman and Odd Bob the Clown takes her to a meteorite at the Pharos Institute. But Spellman's plot to make all of Park Vale's pupils vanish leads Sarah Jane into a confrontation with her own childhood fears in a bid to save Luke. Hands up, who couldn't possibly be more excited right now? Well, if that's the case - if you're the sort of person who worships the ground that Sarah Jane Smith walks upon - then you've a job to do! These next couple of weeks leading up to the premiere, it's time you help promote the show to all your friends and family. Hell, anybody that'll listen! Remember, this isn't a kid's show (despite its timeslot) but the sort of family orientated show that's currently missing from the British television schedule. You have a duty, in the name of good drama and the Whoniverse, to make the British public open their eyes to what they may be missing!! Okay, rant over...
