Pictured are K-9 (Mark 1b it would seem) Starkey, Jorjie and Darius, the stars of the new Australian co-production with Park Entertainment Co-creator Bob Baker revealed on his forum that K-9 will begin the series looking identical to the model left with Leela on Gallifrey - as that is exactly who he is - to begin with. The official website of K9 creator Bob Baker has revealed a new promotional image for the forthcoming series. The image, which can be seen by clicking the thumbnail below, shows the new K9 prop in clearer detail, as well as three characters from the series (presumably "Starkey", "Jorjie" and "Darius", as described in Park Entertainment's summary of the series). The image appears to have been created for promotional use at MIPTV in Cannes. Earlier reports indicated that K9 will air on Austral

Sounds to me that the phonetics of the new name could also be pronounced "siff eee", which makes me think of it as being a slang term for syphillis. ;) As long as they keep showing Doctor Who then I'm fine.

Third Time Lucky

Posted: 15 Mar 2009 11:38 PM PDT

Stansted C of E Primary School will be lucky enough to play host to a Tommy Knight signing this June! The SJA actor will be making an appearance at the school's Summer Fete to sign autographs for, as well as take photos with, his many young fans. The event is, however, open to the general public and according to organiser Trisha Broszek, the more the merrier!

Half the money raised by Tommy will go toward benefitting the school, whilst the other half will be donated to his favoured charity, the Demelza House Children's Hospice. If you'll recall, Tommy gave a sizeable amount to Demelza last August following a signing in Gloucester two months prior. To show our support for his cause, SARAH-JANE.tv even organised an SJA auction on eBay and donated the proceeds to Demelza for his 16th birthday! We hope to see Tom raise another considerable sum for his charity this year, so if you're in the vicinity of Kent on Saturday, June 6th between 2-5pm, be sure to pop down to the Stansted Village Green! Photos and autographs shouldn't be more than a fiver each, and there are plenty of other stalls and activities to keep you [and the rest of your family] amused for the day.

Speaking of public appearances, our very own Lis Sladen will be presenting a sci-fi concert at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic next month! The Music from Outer Space event promises to be 'a mind-blowing journey through time with a spectacular programme of 'space inspired' science fiction music.' Come to the concert in sci-fi inspired fancy dress, and you may be in with a chance to win a family ticket to Spaceport! The exciting evening kicks off at 6pm on Saturday, April 18th - so book your tickets pronto before they sell out!

And lastly, The Sarah Jane Adventures has recently been nominated for an RTS award for a second year running. Last year, the show lost out to My Life As A Popat in the Children's Drama category. We expect SJA may stand a better chance against fellow nominees MI High and Summerhill during this year's ceremony, taking place tomorrow evening. After missing out on a BAFTA to Alistair Fury last November, here's hopin' third time's the charm!

New Radio Drama Series and Audiobooks

Posted: 15 Mar 2009 09:30 PM PDT

Play.com are now listing three new Torchwood Audiobooks for presale, all with seperate release dates in July, August and September. They would appear to be part of a "Torchwood: Radio 4 Drama 2009" series, which means we will most likely be hearing these on the radio before they are actually released in shops.

What is sure to cause mass speculation amongst Torchwood fans is the current cast listing the site gives:

"A Brand new, made-for-radio episode of Torchwood, starring John Barrowman, Freema Agyeman and other members of the TV cast (all details TBC)".

While it looks like we'll be seeing (Or indeed hearing) the delightful Martha Jones in these new audiobooks, is this a hint towards Agyeman being added to the Torchwood cast in the show's future TV escapdes? Or is it just a guest stint for the audiodramas? Or is it actually a simple matter of Play.com being lazy and copy/pasting the cast list from the "Lost Souls" special Torchwood did in conjunction with BBC's coverage of the CERN experiment last year?

Only time will tell.....
