Former Doctor Who companion Mary Tamm has written her autobiography - the first volume of First Generation is set for release on September 14th, 2009. Mary first appeared in Doctor Who in 1978 as the first incarnation of Time Lady Romanadvoratrelundar ("Fred" for short) who was thrown in with the Doctor by the White Guardian to aid the quest for the six components of the Key to Time. With a long career on TV (she's appearing in four episodes of EastEnders from Monday, August...

Filming resumes in Cardiff

Posted: 27 Aug 2009 09:44 AM PDT

After a few weeks away from its now 'traditional' place, filming for the new series of Doctor Who has once again resumed in Cardiff. This afternoon saw recording of scenes take place on the rooftop of Cardiff University's Glamorgan Building, with both Matt Smith and Karen Gillan in attendence. See the spoiler section for details on guests ... and enemies!

Filming today took place at what appears to be a wartime bunker surrounded by barbed wire, and features the return of the Doctor's greatest adversary the Daleks! Only partially seen, it would appear to have a more 'traditional' grey colour scheme to those seen in recent series. As well as the regulars, actor Bill Paterson was also glimpsed during the rooftop scenes.

News: Modular TARDIS Interior?

Posted: 27 Aug 2009 08:51 AM PDT

Reports on the GallifreyBase forum suggest that the new TARDIS interior for Season 31 of Doctor Who (starring Matt Smith and Karen Gillan) is modular, comprising of several reusable interior sections. With a new TARDIS exterior prop currently in use, it wasn't going to be long before rumours of the new interior of the Doctor's time machine surfaced - the TARDIS interior has changed constantly over Doctor Who's 46 year history from the stark futurist white of the Hartnell era to the mahogany...

How Very Kudlak

Posted: 27 Aug 2009 01:20 AM PDT

So... this Saturday. The Trafford Centre. Who's going?

(For those not yet informed, the 'See Me on CBBC' tour hits Manchester's Trafford Centre shopping mall this coming Saturday between 10am and 6pm. It allows you to act out a scene from the SJA, along with various other CBBC shows.)

I'll - hopefully! - be meeting up with fellow SJ.tv scribe Nabu San on the day, and after we've messed around the SJA area, pushed a few kids out of the queue, and smuggled some SJA related goodies we're probably heading on over to the site's Laser Quest for a couple of games. Just 'cos Laser Quest is fun and exciting - and most definitely not because we're trying to mimic anything we might have seen in a certain series one Kudlak-focused adventure... ;)

Any other fans going? If you are, hope to see you there! Most of you know Nabu, so if you do happen to bump into him, chances are I won't be too far behind, so say hello!

See y'all Saturday.
