The BBC Press Office have released details of Episode Two of Season Four, The Fires Of Pompeii. The episode will be broadcast on Saturday 12th April on BBC1, and features guest stars Peter Capaldi, Phil Davis and Tracey Childs.

Unbelievable. Just days after an interview in SFX in which online fans are described as "ming mongs" (the root of this insult being an offensive slur against Down's Syndrome sufferers notwithstanding) by showrunner Russell T Davies, a bunch of clowns have complained about the scheduled 6.30 start time. Get a grip you chimps. Just because it isn't on a 7pm like it has been for 18 of the previous 39 episodes (not including specials) you have some sort of queenie strop? Apparently...

Davies criticizes Time Slot

BBC Internal magazine Ariel has reported that Executive Producer Russell T Davies is unhappy with the news series time slot. The 6.20pm position is the earliest the series has been placed since it returned in 2005. In previous years earlier time slots have resulted in a decrease in viewing figures for the programme.
