| Charlie Higson presents The Enemy Posted: 24 Jun 2009 03:59 PM PDT What would it be like to have the run of London with no adults around? You could live where you wanted, go where you wanted, do what you wanted... Just don't get caught by the few grown ups who've survived the plague. They're likely to eat you. That's the... | ||
| BBC iPlayer - "On the Outside it Looked Like an Old Fashioned Police Box" Posted: 24 Jun 2009 01:43 PM PDT Working on something mindless, listening to the BBC iPlayer. That works for us in the US for radio only, but it's the most amazing, wonderful source of great radio ever if you're into that. You will be most interested in this of course: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00l59rk A wonderful reminiscence for those of us of a certain age. Worth listening to; what a great voice as well! Search your favorite actors and you'll inevitably come up with something interesting. I've been listening to Hugh Bonneville and others in "Newfangle." Sorry, the only Who connections I can find for him are that he was in "The Biographer" with Paul McGann and "Beau Brummell" and "The Robinsons" with "The Visitation" and "Frozen Time"'s Anthony Calf. BTW, you will never win One Degree of British Kevin Bacon against me! http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00l54wl/Newfangle_Bright_Ideas/ This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now | ||

| News: Refurb for Scarborough TARDIS Posted: 24 Jun 2009 08:38 AM PDT As a Yorkshireman, this one's close to my heart - the famous Scarborough TARDIS is getting a long overdue makeover from North Yorkshire Police! This structure - based not on the typical Metropolitan Police Box but on a more practical and modern design that allowed constables to share the box with a colleague - can be found on the Sandside harbour, and has for many years been the focus of fascination. Cllr Janet Jefferson raised concerns about the condition of the building several months ago,... | ||
| Posted: 24 Jun 2009 08:15 AM PDT The recent Utopia fan event featured a heavy dose of Sarah Jane Adventures cast members and production staff, including scriptwriter Joe Lidster. The smashing Sarah-Jane.tv features a comprehensive report on the event which featured Juliet Cowan (Chrissie, Maria Jackson's mum), composer Saw Watts and Christopher Pizzey and Rosanna Lavelle (Sarah Jane's parents, Eddie and Barbara as seen in The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith) as other guests. An interesting element to the third run of The... | ||

| A Quick "Hello" and a Guide to Audible.Com! Posted: 24 Jun 2009 04:22 AM PDT Just a quick "hello" to everyone and a big thank you to Louis and the guys for trusting me with this honor! If you've heard the podcast I was lucky enough to participate in, you might know that I work in the film industry, and, after a horrible year, I've got a few projects that have come to the fore that are keeping me very busy. So, this will have to be brief. I just wanted to elaborate on the Audible.com info Ken and the guys have been giving on the podcasts recently. I've been a subscriber for years and years (I drive over 20,000 miles a year here in LA!) and have discovered lots of books beyond the Who range that might be of interest. You probably know that Paul McGann and Tom Baker, particularly, have done a lot of audio books and radio drama between them, and some of them are available on Audible. | ||
