| Posted: 10 Sep 2009 05:33 AM PDT ![]() The actor Iain Cuthbertson has died at the age of 79. Cuthbertson appeared in the 1978 Fourth Doctor story The Ribos Operation, where he played Garron, a con man attempting to sell the entire planet of Ribos to the Graff Vynda-K, deposed ruler of Levithia. He appeared in many roles on British television throughout the sixties and seventies, with his most memorable role that of the criminal and businessman Charlie Endell in Budgie, appearing alongside Adam Faith. He suffered a crippling stroke in January 1982, which forced him to give up theatre for fear of forgetting his lines. His first role following his stroke was as Scunner Campbell in SuperGran in 1985. Cuthbertson's first marriage, to the actress Anne Kristen, was dissolved in 1988. His second wife was Janet Mary Smith. There were no children. He was born on January 4, 1930 and died on September 4, 2009. Times Obituary Thanks to Fiona Hall | ||

| Posted: 10 Sep 2009 02:36 AM PDT Kopic's Doctor Who and Torchwood News blog/news site is about to regenerate! With the relationship between Kopic's news'bots and the good folk at Kasterborous developing and maturing into a thing of beauty we came to the conclusion that we should move closer together and explore our synergies in a more intimate way. So to speak. Basically, this site is going to be refreshed soon to look like a close relative of Kasterborous. After that, Kopic's news'bots will move in to Kasterborous Towers and start rearranging the furniture and making themselves at home. Simples! --In association with www.kasterborous.com | ||

| Posted: 09 Sep 2009 06:48 PM PDT If you or your kids are off to University soon, read on - former Doctor Who Colin Baker has uncovered a pocket draining scam aimed at students and their families, and wisely used his status to highlight the con. It seems that unscrupulous student property estate agents levy budget airline-style charges for things such as credit checks on students tyring to find rented accommodation, and Colin discovered that his daughter Bindy and her four friends were being charged &ound;100 for such a... | ||
