| Posted: 30 Sep 2008 07:02 AM CDT The opening episode of Sarah Jane's second season had an impressive 0.7 million viewers watching between 4:35 and 5:05pm. Despite last year's opener - "Revenge of the Slitheen" - managing 1.3 million (meaning we've had a fall of 0.6 million since then...) this is still an impressive number. It's above the time slot's current average (400,000 viewers) and is still 6.3% of the available audience watching at the time. By the end of Monday evening, the episode was ranked 8th on BBC IPlayer. Today that position has risen to 3rd - behind yesterday's Eastenders and James May's Big Ideas. In other news, the SJA gang will be appearing on next Tuesday (October 7th) afternoon's edition of Blue Peter. Daniel Anthony and Thomas Knight will definitely be there - and I'm guessing (just guessing!) that they'll be joined by Anjli Mohindra, as Yasmin Paige will have already departed from the series (for both BBC One and CBBC viewers). Here's how the BBC describes the episode: "The team grills the Sarah Jane Adventures kids and makes friends with a cute lion cub." It airs next Tuesday, at 4:35pm. | ||

| Posted: 29 Sep 2008 08:52 PM CDT Hi it's me back again as I bring news of a totally fascinating article on Wired.com. Decades after the BBC destroyed (for space-saving reasons) classic episodes of Doctor Who (along with many other programs), fans of the sci-fi series are utilising modern technology to fill the gaps with their own remakes. 108 episodes of a total 253 between 1963 and 1968 are missing, totally almost half of the First and Second Doctor eras. It's an interesting state of affairs that allows both solo... | ||
