Hitler's Oz Airdate Further Hints at UK Date?

Posted: 15 Aug 2011 04:08 AM PDT

Australian Whovians can rejoice! Let's Kill Hitler - the proposed televised death of Adolf Hitler – will air on the 3rd September at 7:30 pm on ABC 1, reports Australia's TV Tonight.

What's interesting for fans this side of the world is that the ABC network are maintaining that this airdate continues their promise to air episodes 'within one week of the UK airdate' meaning that the Let's Kill Hitler has to hit our screens on the 27th August.

Nothing has been confirmed so far but with the BFI screening of the episode taking place today/yesterday/the week before the apes take over there should be some concrete news as to when we'll see that Hitler fearing the reaper.

In the meantime here's a handy synopsis of the episode which you can cut out and keep if you don't particularly like your monitor:

In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930's Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler.

The Doctor must teach his adversaries that time travel has responsibilities – and in so doing, learns a harsh lesson in the cruellest warfare of all.

Who could be worse than Adolf Hitler?

We'll find out soon!
