Posted: 09 Sep 2011 08:39 AM PDT Arthur Darvill and his beard recently sat down with Digital Spy to tease us with what's in store for Saturdays The Girl Who Waited, Rory's habit of joining the choir invisible and those all important pay-offs heading our way in the coming weeks. Calling The Girl Who Waited one of his (and soon to be your) favourites so far – if a tad confusing the first time around (only if you're simple – Ed) – Darvill also took the time to praise his co-star Karen Gillan for her 'blinding' performance and pay homage to the twisting, episode spawning machine that we call Steven Moffat. Obvious Arthur knows more than he's letting on but he can confirm that the pay-offs – which so far have been ladled out quite quickly regarding River Song – are 'brilliant'. Click below to hear more from our jumper wearing friend. The Girl Who Waited airs this Saturday at 19:15 on BBC One and BBC One HD in the UK and at 9/8c on BBC America.

Who's Who? The Resurrection of The Doctor Posted: 09 Sep 2011 04:10 AM PDT The Guardian is to release a new e-book entitled Who's Who? The Resurrection of The Doctor: This collection charts how the Guardian has covered Britain's most popular Saturday tea-time drama since it was revived by the BBC in 2005. Who's Who? The Resurrection of The Doctor features interviews with the three men to tackle the leading role - Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, and Matt Smith - and the two men who have been in charge of the show's fortunes: Russell T. Davies and Steven Moffat. The book also includes interviews with a host of other Doctor Who actors who have played companions, allies and villains, including Billie Piper, Freema Agyeman, John Barrowman, and writers including Neil Gaiman and Mark Gatiss. The book forms part of a range of titles from the publisher, Guardian Shorts, the first of which, Phone Hacking: How the Guardian broke the story, was published last month; other subjects include How to Write: Children's Books, The Rise and Rise of Facebook, and Rioting in our cities: A century of civil unrest. Who's Who? The Resurrection of The Doctor will be released in the next few months for the Kindle and in the iBookstore.

Answer Questions with Matt Smith Posted: 09 Sep 2011 03:22 AM PDT The BBC are offering readers the chance answer questions alongside Matt Smith via their official Facebook page. The new application in partnership with VYou will see the actor answer five questions over the next ten weeks, and is designed to enable fans to interact directly with the page in three different ways. The principal function is the ability to record a personal video response to the question, which can then be shared with other fans who watch the video stream, appearing after Matt's original answer. In future, fans themselves will be able to submit questions, and further interaction is providing in the form of a voting system in order to determine the favourite question - the ones with the most votes will then be answered by Matt himself.
