Noel Clarke discusses Mickey’s development Posted: 22 May 2010 12:12 PM PDT In a recent Q&A with The Guardian, Noel Clarke reveals his thoughts on Mickey Smith’s marriage to Martha Jones, which was revealed at the end of The End of Time. “I didn’t mind,” he said. ”It was a good character arc. A lot of Mickey happened by accident. I came in and played him quite badly in season one. We didn’t [...]

Posted: 22 May 2010 09:49 AM PDT As most people know, Space is preempting The Vampires of Venice for the May 24 weekend which will leave Canadians 3 weeks out from UK broadcast and, until July 4, a week out from US broadcast now as well. It sucks but, hey, it’s still better than the CBC. And not nearly as much as these ladies will next week…

Posted: 22 May 2010 05:15 AM PDT A glowing interview in The Scotsman newspaper has revealed a little about Noel Clarke's formative childhood years and also looks at his newest starring venture out the week, Heartless. The article also looks at his next film as director. The movie 4. 3. 2. 1., a wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey affair, concentrates on four female friends caught up in a diamond robbery over one weekend. He commented on his inspiration for writing the film.
Noel is cited as one of the most successful black actors in Britain right now, alongside Josef Patterson (Bad Wolf/ the Parting of the Ways) and Idris Alba (Luther) which just shows an example of the incredible talent that Doctor Who attracts. What's also worth noting is that Noel's upbringing is has some slight parallels to Mickey Smith's, the character he played in Doctor Who from 2005-2010. Heartless is released on Friday, 28th May. 4.3.2.1. follows on June 2nd.
