| David Tennant's Fright-ful Night Posted: 10 Jul 2011 03:31 AM PDT The publicity posters for the remake of Fright Night have started their circulation… and they're looking pretty good! For those of you who haven't been following the creative works of Doctor number ten David Tennant since he left Doctor Who in Early 2010 (other work? OTHER WORK? Beyond Doctor Who? Does such a world exist?!), Tennant will be playing the part of Peter Vincent, a Las Vegas magician who is also a vampire hunter. This could well be the actor's way into Hollywood as the film is looking rather excellent. The teaser posters that have been released see the main characters posing with a catchy tagline overlaid on the picture, Tennant's reads "He's raising the stakes" and has the actor looking very cool and also a bit like he could be in Buffy the Vampire Slayer or its spin off Angel. Of course, his chosen accent sounds terribly familiar… Tennant's recent forays into America have not gone down too well, the actor having grabbed the lead role in US television series Rex Is Not Your Lawyer before it was dropped after the pilot. However, the trailer for the remake of Fright Night looks brilliantly fun and Tennant will surely add his unique brand of charm and wit. Fright Night is released September 2nd 2011. | ||

| Torchwood Classic Cast Catchup Posted: 09 Jul 2011 11:44 PM PDT The cast of Torchwood has been somewhat interchangeable since its inception and pilot episode in 2006. Many of the regulars who starred in the show have been killed off and moved on to work on other projects. For anyone who's wondering "where are they now?" BBC America have published just that information on their website within their blog section, one presumes this is to let viewers who will be tuning in to watch Miracle Day can catch up with the series if they haven't watched it in a while. Many of the main cast from series one and two including Burn Gorman (Owen), Naoko Mori (Tosh), Gareth David-Lloyd (Ianto) and Indira Varma (Suzie) have been killed off in the worst ways possible, never to return to the series but thanks to the good people at the BBC you can now find out what they've been up to. The list also includes guest stars of Torchwood who have gone on to star in other big BBC productions including Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones), Daniela Denby-Ashe (Mary in Greeks Bearing Gifts, James Marsters (Captain John Hart who was Captain Jack's ex throughout Series 2 of Torchwood) and Peter Capaldi (John Frobisher in Children of Earth). |
